Day 1 is strictly a take-it-easy day. No rushing around, no heroic plans, and definitely no proving that you can climb stairs without getting out of breath.
Even a casual visit to the local bazaar is subject to approval from your new travel companion — the oximeter. 📟
Oximeter says 95%? “Let’s go shopping!”
Oximeter says otherwise? “Soup in the hotel, boss.” ☕😂
Note : We do not recommend you to focus on any sightseein on Day 1 as your body takes time to adjust to the oxygen levels here so take it easy on Day 1
We’ll explore some of Ladakh’s iconic spots, including Shey Palace, Hemis Monastery and more — taking in the views, soaking up some local culture, and slowly getting our bodies used to the altitude.
Basically, it’s sightseeing while our lungs attend their Ladakh orientation program. 😮💨
And if we’re lucky, you might even catch an Army ice hockey game — because apparently, watching people play hockey on ice is more fun than staying warm. 🏒❄️
No hardcore adventure today. Just monasteries, mountains, beautiful views, good vibes and plenty of time to acclimatise before the real madness begins.

Today, we stop walking on roads and start walking on a frozen river. Because apparently, normal trekking wasn’t adventurous enough. 😎
Welcome to the legendary Chadar Trek, where the Zanskar River turns into a giant sheet of ice and becomes our very own winter highway.
Our mission? Make our way across the frozen Chadar to witness the spectacular Nerak Frozen Waterfall — one of the most magical sights in the Himalayas.
And before you start thinking, “Wait… I’m not a trekker!” — relax. This is a basic-level trek. You don’t need to be a seasoned trekker or someone who owns 17 different kinds of trekking shoes. 😂
You’re here to experience, explore and enjoy. We take it at a comfortable pace, soak in the incredible surroundings, and have plenty of fun along the way.
Of course, the ice has a personality. Sometimes it’s solid, sometimes it’s slippery, and sometimes it makes mysterious cracking sounds just to keep things interesting. 😅
Expect icy trails, frozen waterfalls, dramatic mountain walls, plenty of “bro, is this the right way?” moments, and an unreasonable number of photos.
Today’s rule: Walk carefully, laugh loudly, enjoy the adventure — and let the Himalayas do the showing off.
Because on the Chadar, you don’t need to be a trekker. You just need to be up for an adventure. 🥶
We’re taking on Khardung La in peak winter, with snow-covered mountains, frozen landscapes and views that make stopping for photos absolutely mandatory.
Then we descend into Nubra Valley, where the scenery changes, the landscape opens up, and for a brief moment you may forget that your nose is still frozen.
If you’ve been to Nubra in summer, consider this the director’s cut — same destination, completely different mood.
Expect snow, epic landscapes, questionable dance moves for warmth, and enough photos to make your friends wonder whether you actually went on a trip or just moved to Ladakh.
Today, we head to the legendary Pangong Lake — except this time, there’s no splashing, and absolutely no chance of casually dipping your feet in the water. The entire lake transforms into a surreal sheet of ice, making it look like nature has hit the pause button.
For those who looked at a giant wall of ice and thought, “Yep, that looks like a perfectly reasonable thing to climb” — this one’s for you.
Today’s optional ice-climbing experience is for the adventure lovers who want to swap their comfy shoes for crampons and their common sense for an ice axe. 😄
Learn the basics, gear up, and get ready to climb your way up a frozen wall in the middle of winter Ladakh. It’s challenging, ridiculously fun, and guaranteed to make your friends back home wonder what exactly you’ve been doing on holiday.

And just like that… it’s time to say goodbye to Ladakh.
After a week of frozen landscapes, questionable amounts of chai, altitude-induced drama, and making friends with people who were complete strangers a few days ago, our adventure comes to an end.
We’ll have breakfast, exchange a few “Bro, remember when…” stories, take approximately 47 last photos, and then reluctantly head towards the airport.
You came as a solo traveller. You leave with a camera full of memories, a slightly confused sleep schedule, and a bunch of new people you’ll probably call
